Muttaqi expressed solidarity with the Palestinian cause, drawing parallels between the sacrifices made in Palestine and the eventual freedom of Afghanistan.

The conversation follows a tragic incident on Wednesday, where seven members of Ismail Haniyeh's family, including three sons, were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Al-Shati camp in the north of the Gaza Strip.

In response to the attack, a relative of Haniyeh expressed condolences and solidarity, highlighting the sacrifice of the martyrs in the struggle for Palestinian rights.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued their bombardment, targeting the Nuseirat refugee camps in the center and the Al-Shati camp in the north of Gaza.

Residents of Gaza, grappling with severe shortages of food and other essentials, expressed their anguish, stating that Eid al-Fitr holds no significance amidst the ongoing violence and suffering.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also joined in expressing condolences during a telephone call, following the death of seven members of Haniyeh's family. (ILKHA)
