Turkish coast guard rescues 68 irregular migrants off Kuşadası coast

The Turkish Coast Guard successfully rescued a total of 68 irregular migrants off the coast of the Kuşadası district in Aydın.

The Coast Guard Command continues its vigilant efforts to aid irregular migrants attempting to escape illegally or those who have been pushed back by Greece and left vulnerable at sea.

Off the coast of Kuşadası, 22 irregular migrants, including 11 children, were intercepted aboard a moving rubber boat by Coast Guard teams.

In another incident, 23 irregular migrants, including 19 children, were rescued from two life rafts that had been pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek forces.

Additionally, a further 23 irregular migrants, including 14 children, were apprehended aboard a moving rubber boat by the Coast Guard operating in the same area.

Following their rescue, all migrants were safely brought ashore by the Coast Guard, ensuring their well-being and providing assistance as needed. (ILKHA)
