Turkish authorities detain youth advocating against trade with israel

Thousand Youth for Palestine activists took to the streets, demanding an end to trade relations with Israel. Their rallying cry echoed through the bustling thoroughfare: “Stop trade with Israel!” However, their peaceful demonstration was met with forceful intervention by the authorities.

One activist, speaking from the scene, expressed shock and frustration: “They detained all my friends simply because we voiced our stance against trade with Israel. It’s alarming that 65 percent of iron and steel destined for Israel originates from Türkiye.”
