Election update: Voting concludes in 32 eastern provinces

Polling stations across 32 provinces in eastern Türkiye have officially closed their doors following the local elections.

The Supreme Board of Elections (YSK) meticulously adhered to the designated voting hours, which spanned from 07:00 to 16:00 local time.

The YSK's decision to determine voting hours for local elections resulted in the completion of voting in numerous provinces, including Adıyaman, Ağrı, Artvin, Bingöl, Bitlis, Diyarbakır, Elâzığ, Erzincan, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Hakkâri, Kars, Malatya, Kahramanmaraş, Mardin, Muş, Ordu, Rize, Siirt, Sivas, Trabzon, Tunceli, Şanlıurfa, Van, Bayburt, Batman, Şırnak, Ardahan, Iğdır, and Kilis.

In the event of voters waiting at polling stations after the voting deadline, the chairman of the polling committee is authorized to allow them to cast their votes, provided their identities are confirmed with their ID cards. (ILKHA)
