Heavy snowfall closes roads in eastern Türkiye's Erzurum

The snowfall, which has been intermittent throughout the past week, has caused inaccessibility issues in many settlements.  Authorities have begun efforts to clear the roads and restore access.

The Turkish Directorate of Meteorology forecasts partly cloudy to very cloudy skies with intermittent snowfall in Erzurum, Bayburt, Ardahan, and surrounding areas throughout Tuesday. Erzincan and its surrounding areas can expect intermittent rain mixed with snow.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution due to potential localized fog in the morning and evening hours, along with icing and frost on the roads. (ILKHA)
