Eyewitnesses recounted that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched airstrikes on individuals gathered at the roundabout, where people had assembled to receive much-needed aid. The assault resulted in the tragic deaths of around 30 citizens and inflicted injuries on approximately 100 others. The victims, both martyrs and wounded, were swiftly transported to the Baptist Hospital for treatment.

This latest incident adds to a series of deliberate attacks by the IOF on Palestinians awaiting humanitarian assistance, particularly in Gaza City and northern regions. These assaults, often termed as "flour massacres," have claimed numerous lives and left hundreds injured in previous incidents.

The assault comes amidst the 169th day of the IOF's continued campaign of genocide in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli forces have persistently carried out airstrikes, artillery shelling, and other violent actions, resulting in civilian casualties and widespread devastation. The situation is exacerbated by the ongoing siege and the displacement of over 90% of the population, leading to a dire humanitarian crisis in the region. (ILKHA)
