In a statement posted on X on Thursday, Kan'ani lamented the ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the world's passive response to the 167-day-long conflict. He highlighted the alarming casualty figures, with 31,988 Palestinians killed and 74,096 injured since the beginning of the war, with over 72 percent of the victims being women and children.

Kan'ani expressed particular concern over the siege imposed on Al-Shifa Hospital, condemning the occupying Zionist army for the destruction of its specialized clinic for the fourth consecutive day. He emphasized the gravity of the situation, citing the hospital's crucial role in providing medical assistance to the wounded.

The spokesperson underscored the need for urgent international intervention, calling on the world community to devise an emergency plan to release the United Nations and its Security Council from the influence of the US and the Zionist regime. He urged nations to break their silence and hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions.

Kan'ani concluded by urging collective action to address the dire humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza, emphasizing the urgency of the situation and the need for immediate intervention to prevent further loss of life and destruction. (ILKHA)
