During his stay in Washington, Fidan engaged in talks with U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, focusing on pressing global issues.

In his meeting with Sullivan on Thursday, Fidan emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza, stressing the importance of escalating humanitarian aid to the region. Discussions also revolved around recent developments in negotiations concerning the ongoing conflict.

The Russia-Ukraine war emerged as another significant topic of discussion. Minister Fidan voiced his concern, emphasizing the necessity to avoid further prolonging the conflict in Ukraine.
