The event, held in 16 cities including Ankara, Istanbul, and Konya, highlighted the devastating impact of the recent violence on Gaza's healthcare infrastructure. With 80% of the population displaced, 30 hospitals, 53 health centers, 150 health institutions, and 122 ambulances have been rendered inoperable.
Students from medical, dental, pharmacy, and health science faculties participated in the demonstrations, displaying banners, placards, and photographs of healthcare workers who lost their lives in the attacks. Silent marches were held in public squares and university campuses to honor their memory.
The health professionals urged for immediate action to address the dire situation in Gaza and ensure the safety and well-being of its residents. (ILKHA)
