Turkish authorities arrest 67 suspects in nationwide anti-FETO operation

Turkish authorities announced the arrest of 67 individuals suspected of involvement with the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) in a coordinated operation spanning 14 provinces.

Codenamed "Pincer-7," the operation targeted individuals allegedly linked to the organization's activities.

During the operation, authorities seized a significant amount of cash, along with various digital materials and organizational documents believed to be linked to FETO's clandestine activities.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya released a statement acknowledging the operation's success and emphasizing the government's commitment to dismantling FETO and ensuring national security. “The fight against FETO continues resolutely. We will not rest until this terrorist organization is completely eradicated,” he stated.

FETO, led by Fethullah Gülen, has been accused of orchestrating a failed coup attempt in Türkiye in 2016. The Turkish government has since launched extensive operations against the group, leading to widespread arrests and dismissals of public officials suspected of affiliation. (ILKHA)
