Among the agreements inked were the establishment of the Turkish-Azerbaijani University, cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine, and an agreement to eliminate double taxation and prevent tax evasion.
Turkish President Erdogan, in his remarks, highlighted that the volume of trade between Türkiye and Azerbaijan in 2023 amounted to $7.5 billion and expressed commitment to doubling this figure. "We will make every effort to reach the target of $15 billion," Erdogan stated.
Erdogan emphasized the historic opportunity for permanent peace in the region following the end of the occupation in Karabakh. He urged third parties to support efforts to achieve peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev underscored that cooperation between the two nations would extend beyond the agreements signed. He highlighted the significance of cooperation in defense and education, indicating a broader scope for collaboration between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. (ILKHA)
