Afghan Deputy PM seeks Turkish charity's help with housing for returning Afghans

Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Afghanistan's Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, has appealed for collaboration with Turkish charity organization IHH to construct housing projects for returning Afghans facing shelter shortages.

According to a statement released by Hanafi's office, he met with IHH officials in Kabul, expressing his gratitude for their existing efforts and requesting their participation in creating job opportunities and rebuilding homes for displaced Afghans returning from abroad.

During the meeting, IHH representative Mujahid Khalich outlined the organization's activities, including mosque reconstruction, agricultural development, well drilling, employment generation, and support for families of martyrs, disabled individuals, and healthcare programs in Afghanistan.

IHH affirmed its commitment to expanding its work in the country, echoing Hanafi's call for a strengthened partnership. This collaboration aims to address the critical housing needs of returning Afghans, a significant population struggling to rebuild their lives. (ILKHA)
