Evaluating the security cooperation agreement between Turkey and the Palestinian state, HUDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu emphasized that Turkey should support it militarily and economically for the establishment of the Palestinian state.

Security cooperation agreement between Turkey and the Palestinian state

Evaluating the Security Cooperation Agreement between Turkey and the State of Palestine, which was published in the Official Gazette, Yapıcıoğlu said: “We see the agreement as a late and positive step. Turkey should protect and strengthen the Palestinian people and state against the occupation regime, and support it militarily and economically so that the occupation is completely ended and a free and independent Palestinian state can be formed with Jerusalem as its capital. This agreement with the Ramallah administration should be extended to Gaza as well, contributing to the lifting of the Gaza blockade and conducive to the establishment of unity among the Palestinians.”

“A similar maritime jurisdiction agreement between Turkey and Libya should be discussed with the State of Palestine.”

Yapıcıoğlu said: "With the latest attacks, Gaza has almost turned into a wreckage," and called for "Aids to the Palestinian people should be made in accordance with the criteria of justice and equity, by taking the administration in Gaza as an interlocutor. In order to stop the brutality of the occupation regime, the Palestinians need concrete and effective support. Turkey should lead this by making efforts for other Islamic countries to sign similar agreements with Palestine. On top of all this, making a similar maritime jurisdiction agreement between Turkey and Libya with the State of Palestine should be discussed and the infrastructure for this should be established.”

Europe’s migrant Crisis

Evaluating the European Union's construction of a digital barrier on the Greek border in order to stop immigrants who want to cross from Turkey to Greece over the Meriç River, Yapıcıoğlu went on to say: “In addition to the system that can send deafening sounds from the device called the 'sound ball' installed on the armored vehicle of the Greek police, it is aimed to stop the migration with artificial intelligence-operated lie detectors, virtual border protection bots and cameras. On the other hand, the Danish Parliament approved the law that includes the admission of asylum seekers in camps built abroad. The law aims at giving up asylum seekers. In addition, immigrants are forced to return to conflict zones by canceling their residence permits.”

“The European Union is deepening the migrant crisis with inhumane practices”

Stressing that the immigration policy of the European Union is inhumane, Yapıcıoğlu stated: “The EU, which is primarily responsible for refugee deaths with its push-back policy, deepens the migrant crisis with these inhumane practices. The extent of physical and psychological violence is increasing day by day. It is a shame to present inhuman practices as the only solution to the migrant crisis, which has become a test of humanity for the world. The world's unresponsiveness to systematic torture and massacre continues. In order to end the humanitarian crisis, the causes of migration should be examined and solution projects should be produced. It is not possible for this crisis to end as long as conflicts and poverty, which are the biggest causes of migration, continue. Turkey, which is one of the main stops on the migration route, should take the initiative at this point and take action to establish an international committee.” (ILKHA)
