Iran’s coronavirus death toll rises to 59,663
Iran has reported 91 new deaths from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 59,663, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Tuesday.

After 8,330 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has risen to 1,590,605 in the country.
There are at least 3,696 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 1,358,541 patients have been discharged from hospital after being cured.
So far, more than 10,559,096 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 2,487,375 with 112,340,310 cases and more than 87,869,465 recoveries. (ILKHA)
