In Diyarbakır, a Kurdish majority city of southeastern Turkey, the mass press release was held on the front of the Grand Mosque.

The press release was read out by Faruk Dinç, a member of General Executive Board of HÜDA PAR, following Friday prayer.

Noting that France is leading a craze of hostility and otherizing towards Islam in Western countries, Dinç said: “When it comes to Muslims and Islam, France tramples on all libertarian principles, disenfranchising its own citizen Muslims. France's naive, ignorant and capricious President Emmanuel Macron has now turned his hatred and grudge towards Islam into a war with his statements and practices.”

“France encourages the media outlets such as Charlie Hebdo”

Drawing attention to the bad record of France on human rights, Dinç continued his remarks as follows: “France has invaded and looted many African countries, especially Algeria, and massacred hundreds of thousands of Muslims in the last two centuries. At the same time, many African countries, including Gabon, Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo and Equatorial Guinea, are still paying colonial tax to France. Emphasizing that France is trying to apply the same inhumane treatments that it has used against Muslims in Africa to Muslims its own country. France, which could not detract Muslims from their religion despite of all kinds of missionary and mischievous activities it has done, is exerting pressure and discrimination on Muslims and encouraging the media outlets such as Charlie Hebdo.”

“After the introduction of anti-discrimination law, Muslims were attacked everywhere”

Touching upon the state of emergency and discriminatory policies after the attack on Charlie Hebdo in 2015, Dinç went on to say: “After the introduction of anti-discrimination law, 152 cafes, 15 mosques, 12 culture centers and 4 schools were closed. Tens of people were detained and deported from France. Muslims were subjected to violence and abuses everywhere. French police stormed at dawn the headquarters of Barakacity, a legal aid organization based in Paris, and the home of its head, Idris Sihamedi, on 14 October. During the raid on Barakacity, the organization's doors were broken, security cameras were smashed, and the section used as a masjid was destroyed. Police brutalized Sihamedi, his wife, his 4-and 9-year-old daughters and detained him at his home in front of his family. Yet Barakacity is just a charity.”

Reminding that France is putting pressure on mosques, schools, institutions under the pretext of inspection, Dinç said: “While all kinds of insults and hostility to Islam and its sacred values are welcomed in France, criticizing the zionist regime that invades Palestine and practices genocide is considered as antisemitism. Besides, French President Macron is trying to create a Muslim type under the name of 'France Muslim'. French Interior Minister said he was "shocked" by international food aisles in French supermarkets, adding that Charlie Hebdo's infamous cartoons would be shown to students in schools.”

“Europe and France won’t win the war that they have launched against Islam”

Underlining that Europe and France have launched a war against Islam, Dinç emphasized that the attacks attributed to the so-called Islamic extremists’ groups in Europe is a part of the project aiming to annihilate Muslim population in Western countries.

Dinç concluded his remarks as follows: “Europe and France won’t win the war that they have launched against Islam. Those who try to fight against precious Islam will be the losers as they were in the past. Islamic countries that have honor and dignity should take into action against the France’s hostility to Islam. We condemn the increasing hostility to Islam in Europe, especially in France. Europe is pregnant with Islam. The birth will certainly take place one day.” (ILKHA)
