Officials said the death toll had increased 50 but a new report revealed that thousands missing after the hurricane.

Some of the missing people estimated to be in shelters, officials said.

5 thousand people were evacuated so far from the two islands where the hurricane was the most effective, while about 70 thousand people needed urgent assistance.
