Iraq's Kurdistan Region Police issued a new statement on Thursday regarding the attack on a restaurant in Erbil called Huqqabaz, which killed 2 civilians along with a Turkish diplomat working at Turkey's Erbil Consulate General.

"The posted pictures are of an individual whose name is Mazlum Dağ, born in 1992 and is from the city of Diyarbakır in Turkey. He is wanted by the security agencies of the Kurdistan Region. We call on dear citizens to notify the security agencies as soon as possible if they have any information regarding this culprit," the statement read.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Wednesday called the incident a terrorist attack, saying the further investigation was needed before Ankara could draw conclusions. (ILKHA)
