Speaking in the program, Erdal Eker, Özgür-Der Muş branch head, noted that they are organizing such a breakfast program to support the people of Yemen.

Zeliha Kartal, member of the association underlined that Yemen has been pushed away of the agenda. "We are here today for Yemen. There are wars, famines, and diseases in the world. However, Yemen is out of the agenda because our agenda is created by others."

Studies have shown that those who die of cancer are less than those who die of starvation, said Kartal while underscored that hunger does not come to the agenda today.

Recalling that the Yemeni people are fighting scarcity, Kartal said, "As far as we witness from the media, people are fighting hunger, famine and health problems in Yemen."

"This is a very painful and serious condition. It is very simple for us to get a drug today, but people there are struggling to get it. We live in a world that mothers say, 'We will eat in heaven,' in order to appease their children."

Here we call upon the entire world, the rich and the leaders of the state. The progress of technology, medicine, education, and health is very good, but it does not mean anything if people are starving in some parts of the world. We call upon the entire Ummah to be sensitive to Yemen." (Ayetullah Tarhan - ILKHA)
