Yellow vests protesters, which had been going on for weeks in France, began to gather in Paris from the morning hours.

Small groups gathered in different parts of Paris continue their march towards Champs Elysee avenue.

The police detained hundreds of demonstrators before the protests began. It was stated that there were hammers and stones at the top search of the detainees.

Paris police have fired tear gas on the group of yellow-vested protesters trying to march on the French presidential palace and are pushing them back with shields.

After the violence last week on Sunday, the French Ministry of Interior has appointed more than 80,000 police for today's actions.

In the capital, shopping centers are locked down around Champs Elysee. The Eiffel Tower was closed in case of violence.

The demonstrations, which started on November 17, in response to the fuel tax rise in France and the deterioration of economic conditions, have now turned into anger at the administration of President Emmanuel Macron. (ILKHA)
