Turkish Prosecutor: Covering head in army is contrary to the principle of secularism

The People's Liberation Party [HKP] had filed a lawsuit against the headscarf freedom in the Turkish Armed Forces. The prosecutor, explaining his opinion in the aforementioned case, stated that "covering head in the TAF is contrary to the principle of secularism".

According to Oda TV, the prosecutor used the following statements in his opinion:

"Article 2 of the Constitution stating that the Republic of Turkiye is a democratic, secular and social state based on the basic principles laid down in the beginning."
