The Austrian News Agency [APA] has announced that Austria is preparing to withdraw from the pact of the United Nations "The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and the Regular Migration" following the United States and Hungary.

According to the report, Vienna plans to withdraw from the immigrant pact on the grounds that "the country will restrict its sovereignty over immigration decisions".

Austria will not sign the agreement on the adoption of the pact at the meeting in Marrakech, Morocco, plans to be held in December.

Earlier, Hungarian Foreign and Foreign Trade Minister Peter Szijjarto said his country had decided to withdraw from a process aimed at regulating the global migration of the United Nations [UN].

The pact, announced by the majority of UN member states, is aimed at ensuring the security of migrants on a global scale and preventing human trafficking. The 34-page text with its full name "The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and the Regular Migration" is the first international contract to be agreed on migration.
