Military helicopter crashes in Afghanistan: 25 dead

A military helicopter carrying state officials and high-ranking officers in the city of Farah in western Afghanistan crashed due to bad weather. There were no survivors of the 25 helicopters.

Farah Governor's office announced that there were state officials, military officials and two pilots on board of helicopter that crashed near the town of Anar Dere.

The governor explained that there were no survivors of 25 people in the helicopter.

Military spokesman Najibullah Najib also said that the two helicopters were flying alongside, which one of them falls for an unknown reason.

The helicopter planned to go to the province of Herat, the head of the Farah provincial council and the deputy commander of the Afghan Army's 207th corps are said to be among the officials on board the ill-fated aircraft.

The type of helicopter is not yet known. (ILKHA)
