The Initiative, which composed of families of prisoners with Islamic identities who have been imprisoned with various conspiracies and plots for a quarter of a century, carried out a mass press statement in Batman's Gülistan Street to draw attention to prisoners who were held in prison unjustly.

HUDA PAR, representatives of non-governmental organizations and numerous citizens supported the press statement organized with the theme "Justice for the Heroes of the Dungeon".

Inmate families, children together with calipers with pictures of relatives held in prison as a result "Enough is enough, February 28, atrocities are ended", "persecution is persecution stay silent", "Justice for Freedom", "this persecution recent data now", "Yusufiye are waiting for justice" currencies vehicles.

Speaking before the press release, Serkan Ramanlı, one of the attorneys of people victimized by Feb. 28 and FETO judiciary, drew attention that they came together for the justice for hundreds of inmates.

"These oppressed people faced the tyranny of two evil networks"

"For more than 20 years, hundreds of Muslims have been jailed with false pieces of evidence and false confessions, and they are still imprisoned. The continuation of this persecution for over 20 years is still a fresh wound for us," Ramanlı added.

Remarking that Yusufies [Islamic prisoners] have fought against the terror networks in order to protect Islam, the attorney Ramanlı said, "We need to know of course who they are when we say freedom to Yusufies. We talk about people who fought for their property, live, honor and especially for the glory of Islam against those evil forces, who emerged on behalf of people in the 90s and terrorized out villages, mountains, and cities. While that terror network was terrorizing our villages and cities, it emerged later that there is another terror network operation on behalf of the state in police stations and courthouses. These oppressed people faced the tyranny of two evil networks. While those who lost their lives were buried in the cemeteries, those who survived were sent to prisons."

Stating that they are not requesting or begging for forgiveness of these Muslim victims, Ramanlı underlined that they remind the responsibilities of authorities.

Hüseyin Olan, in his part, reading the press release on behalf of Initiative of Families of People Victimized by Feb. 28 and FETO Judiciary, pointed out that all the coups staged in Turkiye, such as Feb. 28 and July 15 FETO coup, remain as a dark mark in the history of Turkiye.

"Influence of persecution is continuing"

Emphasizing that the effects of injustice, unlawfulness, and cruelty persisted by coup plotters still continue, Olam said, "The putschists sustained rudeness, cruelty, and brutality especially on justice, law and human rights with the practices they did both during the coup and after the coup. Despite 22 years, the effects of unlawfulness, injustices, and atrocities, which are caused by them, continue on the people they have suffered."

"We demand justice for the Yusufi Muslims"

Stating that those Muslims were prisoned unlawfully by the plots and fake pieces of evidence, Olam pointed out that all they want is justice, said, "We demand justice for Yusufi Muslims, who were put in prisons by judges and prosecutors of Feb. 28 and FETO who staged the coup of July 15 coup."
