President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Patrice Talon of Benin held a joint press conference at the Presidential Complex following their tête-à-tête and the meeting between the delegations.

Expressing his pleasure to host President Talon of Benin in Turkey and noting that he will also visit Benin at a later time, President Erdoğan stated that they will continue to stand by Benin and Beninese people as they have been until now.

Pointing out that FETO leader has been allocated a land of 90 acres by the U.S. and that he runs his organizations throughout the world from there, President Erdoğan concluded: "The amount of the money that the U.S. has paid this organization through charter schools is 800-850 million dollars. I attach great importance to this with regard to knowing who and what are behind this organization."

President Erdoğan stated that they also thoroughly discussed the issue of the FETO during the meetings, and underscored that FETO, as it has infiltrated every country and everywhere in any disguise like a virus, has spread to Benin, as well.

Stressing that he believes that they will shortly get a result regarding the elimination of the ties that FETO has in Benin, President Erdoğan added that this terrorist organization, as it did in Turkiye in the past, might infiltrate Benin's state institutions, army, police department, and judiciary, too.
