A comprehensive work on the public vehicles that have come to the agenda within the scope of saving measures in different periods has been started.

Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak in this direction requested the inventory of vehicles owned and rented by all public institutions urgently.

The all list of all rented and owned vehicles by all public intuitions was requested to be sent by 14th September.

Extensive plans have kicked off with Albayrak's signature to oversee serious savings on the number and class of all vehicles used by the state, adding that all vehicles being used will be manufactured in Turkiye.

According to the 2018 budget, there are 110 thousand vehicles used by the state apart from municipalities.

In recent years, the increase in budget spending on vehicle purchases and leases is noteworthy. (ILKHA)
