Hasankeyf, the ancient city of Batman in Turkiye that will remain under the Ilisu Dam reservoir, welcomes the last visit in the old settlement area.

In Hasankeyf, which has a history of about 12 thousand years, tourists and visitors are getting busy recently. Tourists and visitors from outside the city and country are experiencing the sadness of seeing Hasankeyf for the last time.

Hosts the work of many civilizations through history, which its name was "Hisn-I Keyfa" during the period of the Ottoman Empire, Hasankeyf will partly remain under the water of dam. Tourists who want to see Hasankeyf for the last time, expressed as they feel sad that the 12,000 years old city is being sacrificed for the dam that lasts about 50 years.
