Regarding the decision to increase the additional tariff applied to certain products of the US origin by 100 percent, Vice President Fuat Oktay said that the tariffs rates on imports of certain products have been increased within the framework of the principle of reciprocity in the retaliation against the economic conscious attacks of the United States.

Commenting on the Twitter account, Oktay said, "The tariff rates have been increased on imports of certain products within the framework of the principle of reciprocity in the retaliation against the US economic conscious attacks."
