24 Ugandan become Muslim

The Foundation of Orphans, which carry out various assistance project in Uganda, as well as in the World, has completed the construction of a news masjid and offered to serve for local people. During the opening ceremony of the new masjid with takbirs and salawats, a Christian man, including his two wives and 21 children have chosen Islam and became Muslim.

The Ugandan Muslims, unable to build mosques because of the financial impossibilities, could not worship together in a collective way. The Foundation of Orphans has built a mosque in the village of Kikveri, 175 kilometers from the city of Kamuli in Uganda. Nearly 300 Muslims in the region found the opportunity to worship at the same time in the mosque.

The people of the Muslim village welcomed the officials of the Foundation of the Orphans with their own customs.

Local administrators, Uganda Muslim judge, village headmen, opinion leaders of the region and local people attended to the opening ceremony of the masjid, which was built with the support of Haji Abdullah and his wife Leyla Yılmaz and named as 'Sheikh Said Mosque'.

Speaking here, the Ugandan Muslim judge conveyed thanks to the Orphans Foundation for offering such a service to the public. After the speeches made here, a Christian person, his 2 wives, and his 21 children became Muslim.

After the opening of the Masjid, Orphans Foundation officials donated cash to the public and presented toys to children.

Orphans Foundation Chairman Fikri Karavil, who was in the explanations about the opening of the masjid, said they will continue their assistance for the Muslims within the bounds of possibilities. (ILKHA)
