Death toll reaches 200 in Japan's flood

Due to floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall during the day effected in the south and west of Japan, the death toll has reached 200 while the number of missing people reported as 50.

Due to flooding and landslides caused by heavy rainfall which lasted for several days with increasing effect in the country the death toll has increased to 200 while 50 other people reportedly are missing. Authorities announced that they had been ordered to evacuate about one and a half million people, expressing concern about the increasing number of casualties.

Heavy rainfall caused damage, especially in Hiroshima, Okayama, and Kyoto.

'The situation is very dangerous' stated Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in his statement he made before and that the intense effort is being done to save those who have suffered because of the flood, he noted.

Japan Meteorological Agency, announced the western part of the country is alarmed by many regions, indicating that for the first time in several years the water reached this level. (ILKHA)
