According to preliminary results of the presidential election held in Azerbaijan, current President Ilham Aliyev won 86.09 percent of votes.

Kudret Hasanguliyev, the candidate of the United Azerbaijan People's Front Party, took 3.4 percent of the votes, while second independent candidate Zahid Oruc was third with 3.07 percent.

The voter turnout was announced at 74.51 percent.
