Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte stated that they couldn't found necessary support from EU and NATO for their proposal on the condemnation of Turkiye due to its operation against Syria's Afrin.
Stating that the Netherlands and most of EU member countries concerned about the humanitarian situation in Syria, and that the operation against Daesh is damaging, the Dutch Prime Minister suggested Turkiye "to respect for humanitarian rules of war and compliance the ceasefire declared by the UN.".
