The Foreign Ministry condemned strongly to Pentagon spokesman Col. Robert Manning's statement saying 'general of YPG' for Ferhat Abdi Sahin, who is in the "most wanted terrorist list" of Turkiye.

"The Pentagon spokesperson continues to speak nonsense again," said Hami Aksoy, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"You all are well aware that the PYD/YPG is a terrorist group. A news published a few day ago showing solid evidence showing that the PYD/YPG is part of PKK has been put forward. I believe the Pentagon spokesman also knows this. We have the required explanation," he said.

The working group formed with the US will meet on March 8-9, said Aksoy. "Our hope is that the United States will take concrete steps to tackle our demands, to fulfill its words. We will discuss the weapons given to the PYD/YPG at the meeting. We expect the U.S. to take weapons back, handed to YPG," he added. (ILKHA)
