Indicating that they are prepared for a possible refugee influx coming from Afrin, IHH Kilis Logistics Supervisor Bekir Dincer stated that there is no serious migration so far and that PKK keep people in the region as a human shield, not letting them to emigrate.

Two weeks have passed since the Turkish Armed Forces launched an operation against Syria's Afrin with the support of Free Syrian Army [FSA] on January 20, a serious immigration wave has not experienced from the region so far. While the PYD/PKK reportedly do not allow people of Afrin to emigrate, the preparation of various charities, especially Red Crescent, continues in Turkiye for a possible migration wave.

"There is no a serious migration so far from the region, but we still continue our preparation for a possible migration wave," said Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) Kilis Logistics Supervisor Bekir Dinçer to ILKHA's correspondent. Dinçer also expressed that they have been helping Syrian refugees since the beginning of civil war in Syria.

Stating that the people who have migrated from the region are limited, Dincer said that they have tents and containers in Syria for the migrant refugees. "We have our works, our tent cities, and preparations. There we have waters, food and drink, winter clothes and convenience food. We are in a situation where we can intervene immediately. We have done our preparations in this regard. Here we bake 100 thousand loaves of bread daily. We send these loaves of bread to our brothers in Syria. We also cook hot food and send there. In this regard, we have taken all kinds of precautions. At this moment the immigration wave is little, but we are prepared for the future wave of migration as well."
