Head of the house Nizamettin Işık, who calls to the authorities and philanthropists helplessly, says, "You see the situation of our house. Every side is falling apart. Our windows are broken. There is no door left that we have not tried to ask for help for years. All my children are small; I am in a difficult situation. Our home is completely damp; we have no means to do these things. I do not know what to do."

Işık stated that he had applied to the authorities many times in order to help them, and stated that all his efforts were left inconclusive.

"When the minister comes, I told him our situation, but nobody cares about us"

Işık said that the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency [AFAD] of Turkiye reported that their house is in a situation where they could not live in it, continued:

"AFAD gave 70 percent in the report that this house is not a livable place. Then they promised to hand '15,000 TL [~ $ 4000] to repair the house.' But they give that money after they see the bills. I already have no money to buy tools to repair the house, so how can I get bills. I wouldn't ask for help if I already had money. When I say this to them, they threaten me with cutting this help. When the minister came, I told him our situation but nobody cares about us."

"Children are constantly sick"

"The house is drowned, the children are constantly sick. Their mother also fell sick due to sadness. I ask help from the governorate, from the philanthropists and the Muslims," said Işık underlining that his children keep getting sick due to damp. (ILKHA)
