Regional scholars to talk on Jerusalem

Reactions continue against the imperialist US President Trump decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the zionists and plan to move its embassy to Jerusalem.

Ittihad al-Ulama Deputy Chairman Mullah Beşir Şimşek, said in a statement to ILKHA, they think of a comprehensive meeting that will bring scholars together for the formation of a consciousness among people on Jerusalem, the first step in this regard will be next Saturday, he added.

The awareness about Jerusalem mostly is the duty of scholars said Şimşek and added: "The most issue on the agenda both in our country as well as in the whole world is al-Quds, the occupation of Al-Aqsa and the decision of the US. Under these circumstances, all Muslim should concern about this important issue, no doubt, especially as the grandchildren of Saladin, the voice of the scholar of our region, in Kurdistan must raise and we must take this issue on our agenda."

Stating that as Union of Scholars, they have responsibility for giving direction to society on Jerusalem, Şimşek said: "To give direction to our society, to tell the importance of al-Quds and Masjid al-Aqsa in this regard, we will initiate to bring scholars together in the headquarters building of Ittihad al-Ulema in Turkiye's Diyarbakır."

"We will try to make programs for our society until Jerusalem is liberated"

Stating that they took the first step Saturday on their project, Şimşek finally said: "Next Saturday as the first priority we will make a meeting with the member scholars. At this meeting, I hope we will do what we need to do for Jerusalem and what kind of program we can do. After that, with the permission of Allah, we are going to visit all scholars in our region one by one and think about making a big program that all of them will join. We will try to do these programs towards our people, our society until Jerusalem is liberated and our Muslim brothers are free from occupation."
