In the earthquake that hit the Iraq-Iran border, the wounds of the earthquake victims continue to be bound up. Hope Caravan, Pro-Orphan Association and IHO-EBRAR who were immediately in the region after the earthquake, helped thousands of families with food and blankets.

Cemal Çınar, Vice President of the Hope Caravan Foundation, who gave information on the aid that was provided, stated that they have provided aid to thousands of earthquake victim families and that the aid was inadequate.

Çınar stated that they started to distribute the aid after the examinations in the village of Koyi, "We are in the village of Koyi right now. Houses all around are destroyed. It is said that over 100 people in this village have lost their lives. When we try to deliver the dry-food, they do not even have a place to keep. So we took some of the food packages and stowed in somewhere. We started distributing the food. We will distribute thousands of blankets. We have seen a serious need for construction of demolished houses. Hopefully, our assistance will continue."

Due to the water cut after the earthquake, many of the funerals was burnt without being washed, Çınar said that the Muslims suffered a great victimization.

Çınar finally said: "They say that the aid which was made is inadequate. We saw that the places where the damage was the most were not processed too much in the media. There really is a disaster here. They said that they had buried bodies without washing them due to the lack of water. In the 21st century, at a time when people use tons of water for bathing every day, we see that our Muslim brothers are really experiencing great grievances here." (M.
