Evaluating the 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit 32 kilometers southwest of Halabja in Kurdistan region in Iraq-Iran border to ILKHA correspondent, Syrian Kurdish scholar Prof. Dr. Mustafa Muslim emphasized that such disasters are a test for Muslims and that Muslims should extend their helping hand to the earthquake victims.

Muslims conveyed his condolences to those who lost their lives in the earthquake and wished urgent healing wounds, said that all philanthropists in the world, especially Muslims, should extend their helping hand to earthquake victims.

"Such disasters are the signs of the end of time"

Expressing that such disasters are a test for Muslims, Muslim said, "Prophet said: 'There will come a time when earthquakes will multiply on earth; the ground will shake, loss of life and property will raise.' Some scholars have looked at the year of the earthquake that the Prophet mentioned, that a few earthquakes hit the south west of the Arabian region over the past month. This massive earthquake in Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan region, which is felt lightly in Turkiye, and such disasters are in the signs of the end of the time, and it is evident that the Day of Judgment is approaching."

Indicating that Muslims should take lessons after such disasters, Muslim said, "Therefore, our people must be awake. Our people should spend their remaining days with worship to Allah. One should question himself while he is in the world."
