Iraq Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani said in a press conference referring to the relationship with Turkiye and Iran, "We want to maintain ties with Iran and Turkiye and that the Kurdistan Region wants to live in peace and harmony with its neighbors. We want to continue talks with Turkiye and Iran and have them help us solve our disputes with Iraq, too."

Referring to the problems and relations with Turkiye and Iran after the independence referendum, Barzani said: "We want to make negotiations with all our neighbors, not only Turkiye, solve the problems and show that we are in favor of peace. Turkiye is an important neighbor and has helped the people of Kurdistan during the hard times. Opened its gates during the chemical attacks in the 80s and 90s. We are considering this. We consider the aid of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Kurdistan Region wants to live in peace with its neighbors and be a force for stability, including Turkiye with whom we have had good relations in the past. We want to continue talks with Turkiye and Iran and have them help us solve our disputes with Iraq, too." Barzani also added that the only solution of the problems with Baghdad is dialog. (ILKHA)
