The drama of Damar family who lives Mardin's Kızıltepe in the Yurteri neighborhood residing in an almost ruined house is heartbreaking.

Erdal Damar, 33, head of the household cannot work due to traffic accidents happened a year ago, the 6-year-old son Yusuf is born with a heart vent and is melting in front of the eyes of his parents.

Erdal and Halime Damar couple told their life struggle in a one-roomed almost ruined house with their children Yusuf 6, Zeynep 8 and Samet 5. The Damar family waiting for a helping hand for the treatment of their son Yusuf, which they cannot afford because of financial impossibility.

Erdal Damar, who stated that his spleen had been taken during his military service and that he had a traffic accident about a year ago, said, "My foot was broken in three points and I was disabled. I worked with minimum wage before the accident, but I cannot work anymore. My son is having a heart vent and my wife is having diabetes. My two children go to school and have difficulty meeting their needs. 'Father, the bags of other children are beautiful, why is mine old?' say, my daughter. I cannot buy a new one because we do not have financial status. We are victims, we are miserable."

Having said that they live in a one-room house inherited from his father, Damar said that rain-water drops inside of their room because of the cracks in their room, and they live in fear of the house being destroyed at any moment. Damar also said that they cannot take his son Yusuf, who is born with heart vent, to the hospital because of financial impossibility.

"Our child cannot develop, melting in front of our eyes"

Damar said that his son could not improve, he literally melted in front of his eyes, said: "My son, Yusuf, who is 6 years old, is born with heart vent. We want our healthcare ministry, our Prime Minister, and our President to help us with my son's treatment. Our children cannot develop, melting in front of our eyes. We get stressed for him and cry."
