Macron and Barzani hold phone conversation
Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government President Masoud Barzani held a phone conversation with President of France Emmanuel Macron.
Kurdish Regional President Masoud Barzani and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron held a phone conversation Monday evening according to a statement from the Kurdistan Region presidency.
Barzani reportedly informed the President of France about the events living between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
Voicing concern because of the tensions between Erbil and Baghdad Macron said: "Both sides should be patient, there should not be conflict."
The statement, "The best way to solve the problem is dialogue and negotiation, which is the only path," says Macron, "France President is expected to continue the efforts to solve problems with dialog between Baghdad and Erbil," the statement read. (ILKHA)
