Abdul Razzaq Cuneydi, who fled from Syria with his wife and 7 children due to the civil war in their country three years ago and took refuge in Turkiye's Gaziantep, expressed that the only way to save her daughter Erici Cuneydi is marrow transplant and had requested help from philanthropists.

Erici Cuneydi who is 14 years-old now the daughter of 47-years-old Abdul Razzaq Cuneydi, got ill when she was 2.5 years-old. After the test in the hospital, Erici diagnosed with Mediterranean anemia (thalassemia). Erici who falls loosely after her blood flow values drops, was started given blood once in 20 days in the hospital. However, the little girl's internal organs began to be damaged due to the excess iron in the blood.

Father Cuneydi, who works at a grocery store for 800 TL [$220] per month, said that the salary they received is not enough for them, so he did not send one 17 years old and the other 15 years old two sons to the school and tried to keep their lives under such difficult circumstances.

Cuneydi said that he did not want to leave his country in the first years of the war in Syria but he had to take refuge in Turkiye upon the aggravation of the war, saying "We came from Syria about three years ago, the war started in Syria and then we escaped and sheltered Turkiye. So we have been in Turkiye for three years now."

Cuneydi stated that they should stay in a house that is not humid for his daughter's health, but said that his wage only suffices for the rent, electricity and water expenses and said:

"My daughter is thalassemia patients. We go to a hospital once in 20 days for blood to be given her. She currently needs surgery. We need financial situation. My daughter needed to be urgently marrow surgery. The doctors have told us that we need to make this operation a moment ago."
