US Ambassador to Ankara John Bass, making new disclosures related to the ongoing visa crisis, said the decision was taken by the US government.

Stressing that cooperation between the two allies helped reduce "terror attacks" for 9.5 months in Turkiye, Bass said the crisis can be solved with the dialogue of government of two countries. "We would like to see evidence of the arrest," John Bass.

- I leave Ankara at the weekend. When the United States and Turkiye work together, we become stronger. Of course, there's no such thing as always working together. We experienced a similar situation this week. We took a step after the decision of the Turkish government. This decision is not easy. We took it with great sorrow. The visa decision was taken by the US government.

- We have not received a clear answer as to why our employee in Turkiye was arrested. We would tell is the same thing happened with the Turkish diplomats.

- We have not faced a diplomatic approach, but we are determined to continue the dialogue. This dialogue will not be in public.

- Due to our cooperation, there is no terrorist attack in Turkey for the last 9,5 months.

I would like to point out that DAESH is no longer able to take action in Turkiye. This is due to our cooperation with the Turkish government.

- I can say very clearly that the US does not support the independent Kurdish state.

- This decision is a decision taken by the American government. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a clear statement on this issue. 

- We want all our employees those are the citizen of this place, to comply with Turkish laws. We do not abduct any worker. We want to see evidence of the arrest. If there is an action that exceeds the task of Topuz, we want to see the evidence of it.

- There was no demand for a new detention from the Turkish police. (ILKHA)
