Şeker said, “The increase of conflict among the members of different religions in the world in recent years, is extremely sad for the future and peace of humanity. Any kind of persecution, torture and killing against humanity, regardless of where it comes from, who it comes from, what it is done for religion, race, color, and geography can never be accepted.”

Şeker stated that Muslims living in Burma have been subjected to massacres and murders since 1942 before the eyes of the whole world, “Houses, mosques, madrasas, villages, and towns of Arakanese Muslims were burned down and destroyed; they have forced to live in exiles, migrations, temporary camps, and forests; they were arrested and jailed unfairly; abandoned to drown in rivers and oceans; they were not allowed to marry and start a family, and were deprived of basic human rights such as life, health, education, security, accommodation, property, travel.”

Şeker said that the brutality committed in Arakan was tried to be hidden in the agenda of the world. “It is our expectation from the world public to end these anachronistic practices in Burma in an era where basic human rights are guaranteed in all international contracts and legal texts.” (Hüseyin Sayhan - ILKHA)
