Some judicial decisions eroded the legitimacy of system: Justice Minister

Justice Minister Abdulhamid Gül, who issued a message at the beginning of the New Judicial Year, said, “The greatest shadow on the system are some judicial decisions and savings in the past, together with unlawful purposes and imaginations, has been eroded the legitimacy of the system.”

Gül said that the functioning of the judiciary system as a tool serving for human beings and ensuring the correct operation is the common goal of everyone, Gül said, “The guarantee of our union and future, the guarantee of security and freedoms, rights and justice is our fast and efficient judicial system. To make our judicial system function as a tool that serves for human beings, and to ensure the correct operation, is a joint effort of all of us.”

“It is proven by historically experiences when the judicial power protected its one hand solution of the dispute in the society, it has become a source of social peace, tranquility, and prosperity. And it has become a side of the social and political conflict, even became a source of conflicts when it has moved away from them,” said Gül, in the message, continued, “Our people have seen how the justice scale was amazed when it lost his qualification as a referee and turned to an ideological discipline on May 27, September 12, February 28.”

Underlining that some of the illegal judicial decisions in the past are a great danger to the legitimacy of the system, Gül used the following statements:

"Those whose mind and conscience are not enough for them to be guided, have taken the direction from another one and instrumentalization-ed the justice mechanism and alienated from the cause of their own existence. It is the greatest shadow on the system that some judicial decisions and dispositions that have been passed along for unlawful purposes and conjectures are a great danger that affects the legitimacy of the system.”

“On the other hand, we are witnessing that in recent times some circles have tried to damage the trust in the judiciary with lies and slander,” Gül said and continued, “It should be known that we will not allow any attempt to eradicate the belief and the patience of our nationality.
