Due to their Islamic identity, the victimization of the people of the region, which has been the target of PKK on the other side of the deep state elements, continues.

Particularly in the 1990s and till the beginning of the 2000s, the people of the region have suffered due to organizations like PKK, JİTEM, and FETO, now demands their victimizations be seen.

The people of the region, who were struggling to survive against the dark foci, were sentenced to severe punishment by the hands of their legal extensions in the state because they were trying to protect themselves and their families.

Hundreds of Islamic identities persons have been victims of PKK and JİTEM attacks, while those who have survived have been put into prisons with police and judicial extensions of FETO.

One of the violations of rights in this process also happened in Muş. Hamdullah Demirtas, who is in service with the imagination of a Qur'an generation because of his Islamic sensitivity and who teaches at the mosques, was arrested and put into prison for this effort.

Sensitive Muslims, who try to preserve the Islamic identity of both themselves and society in opposition to PKK and JITEM structures, had experienced all kinds of persecution in this process.

Hamdullah Demirtas, who is now in Muş E-type Prison, has 8 grandchildren and 60 years old, his family responds to the fact that the pain they have lived up to now is not seen despite all the calls, and demanded that the victimization of their father and theirs be resolved by saying “show us if there is superiority of law in Turkiye.”

Emrullah Demirdaş, son of prisoner Hamdullah Demirtaş said that his father had never done any badness to anyone, rather he worked for the community and that he did good services. For their victimizations to be seen, Emrullah Demirtaş demands a re-trial way to be opened.

“We believe that all kinds of justice will be provided tomorrow in the presence of Allah”

Demirtas said that there are hundreds of unjustly held victims in prisons like his father:

“My father is involved in the struggle that the present state cannot make with money. He is in prison because he made children love religion in the past. The state is paying to raise a religious generation at that moment. My father and his friends did that without any materialistic expectation in that time but just for the sake of Allah and now they are in prison. My father has no crime and there are hundreds and thousands of people who go into prison like my father. If being a Muslim is blamed, we are all criminals because we are all Muslims. The reason why my father is in prison is only to live an Islamic life and to make it live. We do not want forgiveness because my father has no crime. We want my dad's and friends' files to be opened for retrial. Tomorrow we will believe that all kinds of justice will be provided in the presence of Allah.”

“My father cannot wash his clothes because of his illness, he cannot eat the food of prison”

Demirtas said that his father struggled with various diseases such as cardiac disease, blood pressure, and diabetes and that his situation in prison conditions got worse. He said that his father could not do his personal affairs alone:

“My father has a lot of illness, there is diabetes, there is blood pressure, and there are stents attached to the heart's three veins. They took him to Istanbul because of his last illness, where they said, ‘you can live in prison for 15-20 years.’ A week later, these doctors were arrested and put into prison because of being FETO members. Being in prison is a big problem for my father because of his illness. He cannot stop using diabetes and blood pressure medication and he constantly goes to the hospital. Sometimes the doctors are surprised. My dad cannot wash his clothes, he does not eat the food of prison because the food in prison is for normal people. My father is not eating salty or sweet. They do not have a special meal for my father, there is no special meal for the disease.”

“We cannot believe why it is in prison”

His wife Mukaddes Demirtaş while describing her husband Hamdullah Demirtaş, said: “We have not seen any badness from him. His struggle was in Allah's favor. His only concern was the sake of Allah and the Qur'an.”

“We want the files reopened for retrial”

Mukaddes Demirtaş criticized the heavy punishments given by the unjust and unlawful files and stated that the re-trial should be opened and the victimizations should be relieved:

“My husband and his friends have been keeping prisoners in prison for years and their families have been watching for 20-30 years. We want their files to reopen for retrial. Allah will not accept this persecution.” (Ayetullah Tarhan - ILKHA)
