The funeral of hazelnut workers, 5 women, and children, 7 people who lost their lives in the tractor accident took place in Hendek town of Sakarya, were buried in their hometown Mardin after funeral prayer was performed.

Bodies of Şengül Akman 50, Nildanur Akman 13, Çiçeği Çapat 39, Bahar Çağatay 15, Bedran Çağatay 54, Faruk 38 and Gulistan Boz 18, who were working as hazelnut workers and lost their lives in the tractor accident in Sakarya's Hendek district, was brought to the Şerif Kahraman Mosque at Cereal Trade Center, which is located at the entrance of Mardin's Kızıltepe district.

After the funeral prayer, the funerals were sent to Mardin's Ömerli, Kızıltepe and Yeşilli districts to be given to the soil.

Mehmet Bboz, who lost his son Faruk Boz and his granddaughter Gulistan Boz in the accident said that also 4 of his grandchildren injured in the accident stating that they gave thanks to those who participated in the funeral.

“He went to work in collecting hazelnut to build a new house”

Yavuz Kandemir said that he is a close friend of Faruk Boz, the father of 3 boys and 6 children and that he went to collect nuts to make himself a new house:

 “Unfortunately, we lost 7 lives in a grave accident yesterday. Funerals arrived today. After the public funeral prayer, we buried Faruk Boz and his daughter. Faruk Boz was my childhood friend. He had 6 children. He was in need of help. He was 38 years old and his daughter was 18. His daughter was in the age of marriage. Unfortunately we lost them. We live in that pain. He wanted to make a living and demolish old houses and make a new house for them. Allah may accept them with mercy.”

Şengül Akman, who was buried side by side with her daughter in the village of Kocasırt of Ömerli. It was learned that Emine Akman went to work that far for her 17-year-old daughter Emine Akman’s liver transplant. (Mehmet Aslan - ILKHA)
