Governor of Sakarya Irfan Balkanlıoğlu made a statement on the accident of a tractor carrying hazelnut workers to the garden and rollovers in the province of Hendek where 7 workers lost their lives.

The accident took place at around 07.40 o'clock Turkiye’s local time in Hendek Çamlıca Neighborhood. According to the information, a 54 VD 057 plate tractor which its drivers’ name not learned, carrying hazelnut workers who came from Mardin’s Kızıltepe and work in hazelnut gardens lost control and overturned stream bed.

Health teams reported that Bahar Çağatay, Bedran Çağatay, Faruk Boz and four people whose names haven’t been learned yet lost their lives. Names of injured in the accident; Veysel Akman, Mehmet Boz, Yusuf Akman, Gizem Boz, Yusuf Çapak and Aleyna Boz, Uğur Boz, Gülistan Boz and Baver Çağatay were taken to the hospitals after their first intervention.

“We have 5 women, a 17-years-old teen, our losses are 7,” said Sakarya Governor İrfan Balkanlıoğlu while giving information about the accident, also added that 9 people were wounded. (ILKHA)
