Life condition of Çetinbaş family who lives in Batman's Sason district in the Çukurca village, in a single-story, two-roomed house breaking hearts.  The 9-members family are waiting for help from authorities and philanthropists, indicating that it is difficult sometimes to even find a bite to bread. 

The Çetinbaş family living in the Çukurca village on the skirts of Mount Mereto, the highest mountain in the region in Sason, is living in poverty. While almost every household has a refrigerator and washing machine today, there is not even a single white appliances in the house of the Çetinbaş family, who lives in a two-room adobe house.

150 Turkish Liras as child allowance is the only mainstay of family

Mirza Çetinbaş, the father of the family, said that they are waiting for help to reach them. “We are having difficulty even finding a bite of bread. I cannot find food for my children. My single income is 150 TL, which is paid by the state every two months as a child allowance. We have no one but Allah. I applied to many places as many times but no one gives a job opportunity. I also do not get help from the state. Sometimes neighbors bring food. We are always ashamed to tell them that our children are hungry. Four of my children are studying in Örenağıl-Keçiler Primary School. My older daughter Fatma is studying in 7th grade of Sason Imam Hatip Secondary School. I can’t even afford my children’s education expense.”

The children of the Çetinbaş family also want the authorities and philanthropists to help themselves. (ILKHA)
