Attack on restaurant in Burkina Faso: 28 dead
28 people killed in an armed attack on a restaurant and a near hotel in Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou.
According to the first reports, 28 people lost their lives in an armed attack on a restaurant belonging to a Turkiye’s citizen and on a hotel located near in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
According to the information, last night at about 23.00 Turkiye’s local time, an armed attack carried out on a restaurant called “Aziz Istanbul” belonging to a Turkish citizen and a hotel near.
According to initial reports, 28 people lost their lives.
Burkina Faso Communications Minister Remi Dandjinou described the attack as “a terrorist attack”.
Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Turkiye’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attack regarding the loss of life for a large number of people in the capital Ouagadougou last night.
"We strongly condemn the terrorist attack which caused the death and wounded of many innocent people last night in the Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso. We were also deeply saddened by the loss of our citizens' lives and the injuries of another citizen. Our condolences to the families of the lost people and to the people of Burkina Faso, we wish for the immediate healing of the wounded.” (ILKHA)
