Yesterday, there have been partial lunar eclipses in many parts of the world. , the lunar eclipse is seen most clearly from Russia and from all regions of Turkiye.

The “partial lunar eclipse” of the moon appears in the copper color. The partial lunar eclipse began at 22.23 pm Turkiye’s time when the world entered the full shadow context. It ended at 22.25 in Turkiye’s local time. The eclipse could be watched everywhere in Turkiye.

The most obvious part of lunar eclipse seen from Russia also could be seen from various continents like the Middle East, Europe, the Pacific and Asia. There is no danger of the lunar eclipse being watched with the naked eye compared to the solar eclipse.

The last lunar eclipse of astronomy enthusiasts was experienced on 28 September 2015. The next full eclipse will take place on Friday, July 27, 2018, one year later.

“Pray at the time of the lunar eclipse”

When the solar eclipse is called ‘Küsûf’, the lunar eclipse is called Hüsûf.

In a Hadith-i Sharif narrated by Buhari; The Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] said on the demise of his son Ibrahim: “The Moon and the Sun are the proofs of God's presence and might. These two (Moon and Sun) do not eclipse by the death or life of any one person. If you have witnessed the eclipse of the moon or the sun, pray until the two of them appear clearly.”

At the time of the lunar eclipse, two rak'ah prayers can be performed. Imam Shafii and Ahmed b. Hanbel has argued that Hüsuf prayer is a circumcision and that it can be performing with the congregation. (ILKHA)
